The attractively named Verpiss Dich, or “Piss Off Plant” is actually rather attractive and is collecting a world wide circle of friends and admirers that have their own bulletin boards. Google and see.

Dogs, cats, foxes, martens and rabbits give this plant a wide berth so if your vegetable plot has become the neighbourhood litter tray plant a few of these and enjoy poo free produce. Totally drought tolerant not much bothers this except too much water when small. The plant is marketed in the UK under the rather ungrammatical “Scardy Cat” and the caninely unadventurous “Dog’s Gone”.
